On 17th December, NVIDIA unveiled the Jetson Orin Nano Super Developer Kit, the company’s most affordable generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) supercomputer.
This tiny kit is compact and fits in the palm of a hand, delivering up to 67 trillion operations per second (TOPS) of AI performance that seamlessly runs the most popular generative AI models, like vision transformers, LLMs, vision-language models, and more.
For reference, Jetson Orin Nano Super announced it in 2023 for $499, and now NVIDIA has cut its price to $249. This AI supercomputer offers a 1.7x improvement, a 70% increase in performance, and a 50% increase in memory bandwidth to 102GB/s compared with its predecessor.
Its wide range of applications makes it well-suited for students, enthusiasts, and developers worldwide. The developer kit includes Jetson Orin Nano 8GB system-on-module and a reference carrier board, providing an ideal platform to prototype AI applications.
The 8GB system-on-module is powered by NVIDIA Ampere architecture GPU with tensor cores and a 6-core Arm CPU, facilitating multiple AI applications and high-performance inference. Also, it supports up to four cameras, offering higher resolution and frame rates.
